Hope. Help. Healing.
HOPE
Made for Grace exists to provide hope, help, and healing for women in a life struggle, as followers of Jesus are instructed to do in the Body of Christ. Many women have experienced relief from depression, anxiety, grief, domestic abuse, eating disorders, marriage issues, and spiritual issues. God sees. He knows. He cares. And He "provides a way of escape" for those who come to Him for help (1 Corinthians 10:13). Made for Grace is here to facilitate the process of getting "unstuck" from besetting issues, to provide insight on how God protects His children with "armor" (Ephesians 6:11-24), and to reassure women of their value, their standing with God, and the great purpose God has for their lives.
HELP
Made for Grace acknowledges that many women need support, coaching, or connection to a trustworthy counseling program. Made for Grace offers help in two ways:
Coaching: Julie Knapp (MA Christian Counseling, Board Certified Mental Health Coach, Life Coach) offers coaching that features prayer, listening, and asking questions--all for the purpose of connecting women to a larger conversation with God, the source of all objective truth and love.
Curated Resources: This site offers vetted resources where many life problems are addressed in a compassionate way. Additionally, subscribers receive free relevant content. Archived works available HERE; links to other people helpers and resources available HERE; topical recommended resources are HERE.
Made for Grace is a support resource. This ministry simply responds to Scripture's prescriptive commands to:
"Love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:35)
"Bear one another's burdens" (Galatians 6:2)
"Older women teach the younger women" (Titus 2:4-5)
HEALING
God is the Great Physician, and is always at work to restore us to the way He created us to be. No one is more spiritually mature than they are emotionally mature; therefore, getting help is tantamount to experiencing healing and growth. The goal of Made for Grace is to reach those who are ready for change with gospel ways to re-connect with God, to walk in His truth, and live out His plan.
Many have already found hope, help, and healing, and are themselves reaching out to minister to others.

Statement of belief:
I'm a gospel-centered reformed theologian, which means I'm always seeking to follow Christ the way He directs in Scripture (the Holy Bible). When He shows me an area in which I need to repent (change my way of thinking) and believe (trust Him for answers), I'm compelled to obey.
I believe God created the heavens, earth, mankind (man and woman in His image), and creatures for His own glory. When Adam and Eve sinned, the result was a loss of relationship with God, and the start of physical and spiritual decay. God already had a solution to reconcile all things to Himself: He would send His Son, Jesus Christ to live a sinless life, to pay the debt for the sins of mankind, and rise from the dead as a testimony to this truth. Those who believe on Jesus Christ as the only way to reconciliation with God are eternally secure.
The experience of all mankind is sin and suffering. Sin is inherent in all mankind. Suffering is a result of the Fall (Adam's and Eve's original sin). All of life's problems are a mixture of sin at our own hands and suffering resulting from the Fall and sins of others against us. At the root of mental illness are the lies we've been told and the lies we believe. There is ONE SOURCE for objective truth, and that is God. Jesus Christ is the fullness of God and embodies truth and grace. He greatly desires to conform us into His image by revealing that truth and grace to us, that we may apply it to our lives in the power of the Holy Spirit who renews our minds.
The enemy, Satan, seeks to destroy mankind who is made in God's image. He is powerful to infect mankind's thoughts and to provoke mankind to sin. He is a deceiver, the father of lies, the accuser of the people of God, the instigator of all evil. Satan desires glory for himself, and has made it his top priority to steal, kill, and destroy. He is not, however, nearly as powerful as God.
God has made a way of escape for mankind through His Son Jesus Christ by the power of His Holy Spirit. While the experience of mankind in this season on earth is that of sin and suffering, God's purpose for us is to draw us into close relationship with Himself, and He uses all of our experience to do so. Jesus Christ is working to restore His followers to the way He created them to be. He is the ultimate antidote for our sin, and He cares about our suffering. He is always, always with us.
We are living in eternity NOW. As our relationship with God becomes closer, we experience the riches of His glory, the comfort of His presence, the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit, and all the spiritual blessings in heavenly places. These blessings are not material (I do not subscribe to the "prosperity gospel"), but are worth far more than anything we could ever wish for on earth.
God always provides forgiveness and redemption for our sin (for those who believe), and often provides relief from our suffering, though not always in the ways we expect.
God rescues, redeems, restores, and reconciles. He is sovereign, which means His will is always accomplished, and He uses any and all circumstances (even evil) for our good and His glory. God invites us to cooperate with His eternal plan through fellowship with Him, obedience to His will, and reaching others with His love as Jesus would do.
Made for Grace is a non-denominational ministry.
